At the Center for Family Wellness, we offer a wide variety of therapeutic massage options and massage-related treatments. Open and ongoing communication and feedback are encouraged between client and therapist in order to ensure that treatment goals are clearly defined and addressed. Some of the various therapy options available at the Center for Family Wellness are as follows: Swedish Massage To promote an overall sense of relaxation and well-being. One of the most popular massage techniques used today, Swedish massage has been known to help lower blood pressure, increase circulation, reduce stress and anxiety, promote vitality and energy, alleviate insomnia, relieve headaches, improve skin and muscle tone, increase mental clarity, alleviate general aches and pains, and improve ones overall health. Neuromuscular Therapy Deep-tissue massage techniques to reduce muscular and other soft tissue pain associated with muscles which are overly-contracted or in spasm. Movement Exercises and Stretching Rehabilitation To strengthen muscles, protect the injured area, and re-educate nerve receptors which have become over-stimulated. Evaluation of Ergonomics, Posture, and Body Mechanics To promote complete recovery and prevent re-injury. Pre- and Post-natal Massage To help relieve the physical discomforts and emotional tension so common during pregnancy and in the months following labor and delivery. Because it supports your physical health and vitality, massage can help you adjust more easily to the many changes in your body and your new life. On-Site Chair Massage A great way to bring the benefits of massage into your office or workplace. Seated massage is performed with participants sitting upright on a specially-designed chair which is lightweight, portable, and easy to set up in a small space. Sessions typically last 15-20 minutes, and they are designed to leave participants feeling relaxed, refreshed, and revitalized.
